Management Guidance, Inc. has provided labor relations, employee benefit fund trustee, government relations, employment policy, and administrative services to employers and employer associations for more than 15 years. MGI meets clients’ needs through customized services that focus on the employer-union relationship. MGI professionals have distinctive experience in collective bargaining, as trustees and trustee advisors on employee benefit funds, and in generally navigating employer-labor relationships.
MGI specializes in representing industry employer associations of all sizes, both locally and nationally. Our industry association clients range in size from a local, specialized trade association with just a few members, to a national association with several hundred members. We also represent individual employers on a regular basis. Because we practice in a specialized area, we have an exceptional level of experience handling unique labor relations matters for associations and employers of all sizes.
MGI professionals lead employers in specific labor relations actions such as the collective bargaining process, grievances, and trust and committee activities. We strengthen employers in labor relationships by educating employers on labor relations issues, working with multi-employer groups to consolidate employers’ positions, communicating regularly with the union, and ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
MGI typically represents clients in multiple points of contact with union representatives. By working with the client and the union on a regular basis – through employee benefit trust funds, labor-management committees, and collective bargaining – MGI professionals are able to work effectively and efficiently in what is often a very challenging environment.
