The Law Firm of Management Guidance, LLP represents employers and employer associations.  Our practice is concentrated in labor relations and employee benefits matters, and service as general counsel to 501(c)(6) industry associations.  Through travel and technology we work seamlessly with clients located throughout the country.  Our clients include national industry associations and local employer associations, Fortune 500 companies and family owned businesses.  We pride ourselves in offering practical, real-world solutions to the unique issues faced by unionized employers.

Our attorneys have negotiated collective bargaining agreements of all sizes, including agreements that cover many thousands of employees.  We have extensive experience leading groups of employers in the negotiation of industry-wide collective bargaining agreements.  We frequently handle union-employer disputes, including grievance arbitrations and unfair labor practice charges.  We advise employers on labor-related matters of all kinds, ranging from employee discipline and discharge to defined benefit pension plan withdrawal liability. 

We provide counsel to employers that contribute to multiemployer plans in collective bargaining and strategic planning, and to employer trustees of multiemployer plans.  Our attorneys serve as professional management trustees on multiemployer pension plans ranging to more than $1 billion in total assets and multiemployer health and welfare plans covering more than 25,000 lives.  Our advice and counsel is uniquely based on this experience in addition to our legal expertise.

Because of our experience with unionized employment environments, we are often asked to draft or review pre-employment testing policies, employee handbooks, and disciplinary/discharge actions

Outside of traditional labor relations subjects, our attorneys have significant experience advising employer associations in general operations and governance matters, and the wide variety of issues encountered by multiemployer groups.
