Matt Marquis joined Management Guidance, Inc. in 2010. Matt works in the areas of labor relations law, and government relations. His work has included researching and advising employers in areas such as OSHA, Fair Labor Standards Act, employment law, and policy drafting. He also serves as a professional trustee on Taft-Hartley pension and health and welfare benefit trust funds.
Matt’s government relations experience includes representing clients’ interests to state agencies and legislative bodies. He has testified in support of the successful passage of proposed rules at the Administrative Law Rulemaking Hearing level. He has been active as a participant on several state agency taskforces and collaborative efforts.
Matt earned his law degree at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he was a President’s Scholar and was a member of the school’s 2009 ABA Negotiation Competition team. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities (B.S. Chemistry). He is a member of the Labor & Employment, Employee Benefits, and Construction Sections of the Minnesota State Bar Association as well as the Hennepin and Ramsey County Bar Associations.
